Frozen Whipped Cream Snowflakes

My sister and I are big fans of hot chocolate. Oddly enough, we are also both super sensitive to heat. We do like our hot chocolate hot, just not lava hot. You’d find us staring at our cups of hot chocolate for what seemed like an eternity; patiently waiting for our drinks to cool down. We had to find a solution and we sure did. A cute one too =). Here is how to cool down your hot drinks in style with snowflakes made out of frozen whipped cream:

Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper. Cut it so that extra paper hangs over each side:

Pour in 3 cups of whipped cream:

Using an offset spatula, spread the cream into an even layer and smooth out the top:

Stick in the freezer overnight.

Here is what you end up with, a frozen sheet of whipped cream:

To release, simply pull on the sides:

Using a cookie cutter, cut tiny snowflakes:

That’s it. You’re done! Keep your snowflakes in the freezer until ready to serve.
