Homemade Granola Bars

May 22, 2013 By Francois 1 Comment

Just one more week and I will be on my way to France to visit family and eat my weight in cheese. But before then, I want to make sure I look my best when I get there, and that means watching what I eat and work out. Part of eating healthy is avoiding processed foods and that is always a problem when it comes to afternoon snacks. Snickers are VERY tempting around 3pm. So skip the vending machine, gather ’round and grab a mixing bowl. Today we are making our own granola bars. They are quick and easy to make and you have complete control over the ingredients. But the part is you can make them in any shape. That’s right, move over boring rectangular granola bars, make room for granola hearts.

Great post! With summer almost here I should be more cautious about what junk I snack on. Granola is sure the way to go.

Have fun in France! I visited France for the first time (the Languedoc region) last summer and loved it. I definitely want to go back.
